Uber Eats courier: VAT and accounting in Finland 2026
Did Uber Eats send an invoice or settlement document that includes VAT? Upload the document to Bisse. We help with accounting and VAT reports.

Why the Uber Eats settlement can be confusing
Uber Eats launched in Finland in May 2026. Some couriers have run into a situation where Uber Eats creates an invoice or settlement document itself and pays the full amount to the courier, including the VAT shown on the document.
If you have invoiced food courier work through your own company, the whole amount received in your bank account may not be freely available income. If the document includes VAT, it needs to be handled correctly in bookkeeping. This is where Bisse helps.
Because the money is paid directly to your bank account, Bisse cannot automatically withhold VAT or prepayment tax from the settlement. You need to set aside the tax amount as soon as the payment reaches your account.
How to submit Uber material to Bisse
This page is not for creating a new invoice to Uber Eats. It is for situations where you have already received an invoice, settlement document or payment from Uber Eats through your own company in 2026.
Send the monthly Uber material to Bisse regularly so that accounting and VAT reporting stay up to date. Uber's guidance says the monthly tax statement is available in the Tax Information section of the Partner Dashboard. Uber also notes that the statement is not an official tax document, but a tool for understanding your earnings.
- Log in to Uber's Partner Dashboard and download the month's Tax Statement, Tax Summary, invoice or settlement document as a PDF.
- Upload the PDF to Bisse.
- Record the amount received in your bank account, the settlement date and the VAT rate.
- Immediately set aside the amount reserved for VAT and prepayment taxes. Bisse cannot withhold taxes automatically because the payment comes directly to your account.
- Bisse processes the document in bookkeeping and VAT reports. You pay any VAT and other taxes yourself in MyTax.

Important tax guidance for 2027
On 13 May 2026, the Finnish Tax Administration announced that, based on Supreme Administrative Court decisions, payments from a food courier company are treated as wage income for the courier. The Tax Administration says the changed guidance will be applied in taxation from 1 January 2027.
In practice, this means payments from a food courier company should not be marketed as a permanent sole proprietor or invoicing service income model. For 2026, Bisse helps process documents and settlements that have already been created as clearly as possible.

Who this is for
This service is especially useful if you have your own company and have already received documents or payments from Uber Eats in 2026 where the VAT treatment is unclear.
If Uber Eats or another delivery company asks you for a tax card or instructs you about wage payment, follow the current instructions from the delivery company and the Finnish Tax Administration. Bisse can still help with your company's other income, expenses and accounting material.
